Online therapy in Massachusetts
Massachusetts is one of the worst states in the country for rates of depression and anxiety among young people.
More than 90% of Charlie Health reported improvements in their most severe symptoms.
What is Charlie Health?
Charlie Health provides a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.
The goal of Charlie Health is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.
Curated groups
By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.
Individual therapy
One-on-one connections are critical to our model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.
Family therapy
The #1 predictor of success in our program is family involvement. Our model’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.
Who is Charlie Health for?
People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis
Charlie Health is designed for individuals who need more treatment and support than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

What our clients say
“This is the first time that therapy has actually felt productive.”
My issues weren't the popular issues I saw in groups. While others were here for depression and anxiety (and I'm glad they were here), I was in for psychosis and severe dissociation. Despite my different issues, we were all getting the care and help they needed. Everyone here wants to accept the help they can get with this opportunity, and everyone (staff and clients alike) has been incredibly kind and welcoming. The community is very inclusive, and it was nice not to have to water down my thoughts for the sake of others. Even when my problems were different, there was always some way we could relate to and help each other. That's the human experience. :) As for my one-on-one sessions, this is the first time that therapy has actually felt productive. It felt a bit more self-led, and my therapist was very good at getting me to reflect on where certain thoughts and beliefs may stem from. I came in overly self-aware, and now I know the ways that I can use that awareness to lead to change. I also have issues with being held accountable (opposition to authority), and my therapist was very good at guiding me to hold myself accountable rather than "shoving" the accountability in my face. She's been wonderful, and I finally feel like I've made progress and am capable of making more.

“I'm leaving this program knowing that I am enough.”
When I first started with Charlie Health, my mental health was at an all-time low, to the point I was suicidal. The skills I have learned have helped me gain a better relationship with my husband, my family, and most importantly, with myself. I went from constantly talking negatively about myself to now hardly ever having negative thoughts. I'm leaving this program knowing that I am enough. I've also made what I think will be some lifetime friends.

“I now know that I am worthy.”
13 weeks ago, I was ready to take my life. I was ready to end it all. From the built up anger, pain, grief, everything I ever carried, I was ready to let it all go. It took a near-fatal overdose to finally realize I needed help. I was optimistic about this program, but I didn’t care to open up or to hear other people's opinions at first. After week one, though, I had my first break through because I finally admitted that I wear a mask to cover my pain up. But I don't have to. Having group therapy has made things easier. Having that support from people that deal with the same things as me and knowing I’m not alone in the world has been amazing. If you put in the work, I strongly believe you can achieve so many new things. You'll be able to be the real you. Because of Charlie Health, I now know that I am worthy.
