Partnerships with Veterans Affairs (VA) and Affiliated Organizations

We partner with VA and affiliated organizations to deliver life-saving mental health, substance use, and eating disorder treatment.

Veteran-focused care

Our care plans are built around the realities of life after service, including PTSD, substance use, and co-occurring mental health challenges. Providers are trained to offer trauma-informed support that aligns with Veterans’ lived experiences.

Flexible virtual care

Our fully remote model eliminates common barriers like transportation, stigma, and scheduling conflicts. Veterans can access care from home, making it easier to start and stay engaged in treatment.

Alumni support

Veterans who complete treatment can continue engaging through alumni groups and clinical outreach. This ensures a steady connection to support, which can be especially important during periods of stress or isolation.

“I am so happy I gave it a chance”

I had reached a point in my life where something had to give. I was either going to succumb to my trauma and depression or need to go to an inpatient facility. I found Charlie Health through the military and was scared at first and wasn’t sure it would help, but I am so happy I gave it a chance. My husband and immediate family have noticed a significant difference in my countenance and behaviors. I am lighter and happier. I can be faced with stress and not be overwhelmed by it. I now have a clean and healthy slate to begin handling my trauma. I will recommend the CBT groups to everyone. My family will forever be changed by the generational traumas I have worked on breaking. My children will get to have a whole mother who is not weighed down by her grief, depression, or anxiety. My husband now has a partner who can communicate, and we will continue to cultivate a healthy and loving friendship and marriage.

When it came to mental health, Charlie Health was the right answer. It’s not easy finding the right providers for mental health, especially for all our needs, but Charlie Health is the definition of the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s going to get better with Charlie Health.

“Incredibly effortless”

The referral process for Charlie Health is incredibly effortless, and once it is sent, there is no doubt in my mind that they will get back to me quickly regarding the outcome and follow-up with regular updates regarding scheduling appointments.

“I now have the skills and coping strategies to continue successfully in my life”

Charlie Health is by far the best thing that I did for myself. The facilitators are very personable even in a group setting. They truly care about what they do and want to see you succeed. I’m so disappointed to be leaving but I know that I now have the skills and coping strategies to continue successfully in my life.

“Always willing to go above and beyond for me and the clients I refer”

My experience has been wonderful – Charlie Health is quick, easy, and responsive. The team is always on it, quick to jump into action, and always willing to go above and beyond for me and the clients I refer. They are really making a difference in the lives of the families I refer to them.

“The teamwork, collaboration, and dedication of both teams to get this client scheduled was amazing”

The most memorable experience that I have had working with Charlie is actually one where I was just a “fly on the wall” between email communication between the Charlie Health team and a Thriveworks clinician. To be able to see the teamwork, collaboration, and dedication of both teams to get this client scheduled was amazing.

“They are a pioneer in this space and really fill a void for many kids that would otherwise go without care”

I am a child psychiatrist at AdventHealth Medical Group Pediatric and Adolescent Psychiatry at Winter Park. We have partnered with Charlie Health in many cases, for children and teens with mental illness and/or significant stressors, to provide quick access to care, appropriate level of care, and remove barriers to mental healthcare as best as possible. I have found that their mission is closely aligned with ours, their passion is very evident, and they go above and beyond to help with any questions our office has. We have brainstormed together about various local resources, and I have found their contributions to be so valuable. They are a pioneer in this space and really fill a void for many kids that would otherwise go without care.

—Tina Gurnani, M.D.

“I have learned to love myself and give myself grace”

When I first started Charlie Health, I suffered from severe depression, anxiety, alcohol abuse, and social anxiety. Charlie Health taught me great things to keep me on track in my recovery journey. I now have the tools and skills to make positive changes in my life! I have learned to love myself and give myself grace!! Also, the group sessions helped tremendously in dealing with my social anxiety. I now feel more comfortable communicating with others without substances! Thank you all for everything you do.
