Dr. Chelsi Clark, Ph.D., NCSP, LPC (she/her)
Director of Group Quality
Dr. Chelsi Clark, Ph.D., NCSP, LPC, is a therapist, public speaker, and writer who has over fifteen years of experience working in the mental health field. She is the Director of BIPOC Group Quality and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives at Charlie Health, the nation’s largest provider of virtual IOP treatment programs for teens, young adults, and families. Dr. Clark is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, a Provisional Licensed Counselor, and a former university professor of psychology.
Dr. Clark has deep, insightful knowledge of the teenage mind coming from years of working within school systems across different states. She’s published popular articles at the intersection of race and mental health, most notably on racial microaggressions. Her works have been published in top scientific journals such as Psychology in Schools and School Psychology Review.
She is very passionate about helping young Black girls discover and hone the tools they need to flourish and thrive in a world that doesn’t always provide for them. Dr. Clark recently published two books for Black girls and Women: “Magical: A Guided Journal for the Magical Black Girl Navigating Through Her Teen Years,” and “Don’t Hide Your Magic: A Mindful Coloring and Art Journal.” When she’s not teaching or counseling, she likes to travel and give public addresses and workshops. She was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana.
