Following the death of my father, I couldn't find it in myself to leave my home or connect with the people I loved. But even when a tree falls, the root may remain. I've practiced mindfulness, journaled, created, and cried to the point of watering my root and feeding myself from it. I have flourished here and take the wisdom of my father and these experiences with me. Additionally, I've faced past traumas and expressed words in a way I never thought possible.
