It took a near-fatal overdose to finally realize I needed help. I was optimistic about this program, but I didn’t care to open up or to hear other people’s opinions at first. After week one, though, I had my first break through because I finally admitted that I wear a mask to cover my pain up. But I don’t have to. Having group therapy has made things easier.
