13 weeks ago, I was ready to take my life. I was ready to end it all. From the built up anger, pain, grief, everything I ever carried, I was ready to let it all go. It took a near-fatal overdose to finally realize I needed help. I was optimistic about this program, but I didn’t care to open up or to hear other people's opinions at first. After week one, though, I had my first break through because I finally admitted that I wear a mask to cover my pain up. But I don't have to. Having group therapy has made things easier. Having that support from people that deal with the same things as me and knowing I’m not alone in the world has been amazing.
