What is IOP?
Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.
The goal of IOP is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.
Curated groups
By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.
Individual therapy
One-on-one connections are critical to the IOP model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.
Family therapy
The #1 predictor of success in IOP is family involvement. Our virtual intensive outpatient program’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.
Who is IOP for?
People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis
IOP is designed for individuals who need more treatment and support than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

What our clients say
“The Charlie Health environment is extremely supportive.”
I remember one session, I was struggling with saying something because it was about how I have harmed someone before. I might have accidentally worded it as something that I was a victim of, but then I reclarified it. I was so terrified of the response I would recieve because a lot of people in this group had experienced a lot of bad things in their life at the hands of others. Instead, I was met with love, because I was able to admit that I was wrong and tell the truth of the situation. I know many sessions where someone felt as if they were alone and then others in the group talked about how they went through the same thing or that things will get better. If anything, the Charlie Health environment is extremely supportive, and one that I think would be great for anyone.

“I'm more comfortable talking with my parents now.”
I have really bad anxiety, so when my parents found this place, it sounded like a really good program that could help me. It definitely was. They have helped me a lot with my anxiety and I'm more comfortable talking with my parents now.

“You are not alone in questioning yourself.”
I grew up fearing disappointment or failing to meet expectations. I then lived out my high school years feeling like I might disturb others in my classes and more. I feared being ostracized and forgotten, whether intentional or not. I didn’t want to disappoint anyone and I felt I needed to prove myself to them. But because of the unconditional support within this program and from those I've since learned to grow close to and love (like my friends and family), I question myself less. So believe me, you are not alone in questioning yourself. I hope people take the time for this program and speak their emotions out. May it be traumatic, depressing, painful, or confusing... whatever you are dealing with, know it’s okay to feel such feelings.
