Online therapy in Louisville
1 in 4 high schoolers in Kentucky experience serious psychological stress.
Over 3 million people in Kentucky live in a community that does not have enough mental health professionals.
What is IOP?
Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.
The goal of IOP is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.
Curated groups
By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.
Individual therapy
One-on-one connections are critical to the IOP model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.
Family therapy
The #1 predictor of success in IOP is family involvement. Our virtual intensive outpatient program’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.
Who is IOP for?
People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis
IOP is designed for individuals who need more treatment and support than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

What our clients say
“I'm exiting the program stronger, happier, more determined, and excited for what is to come.”
Before I began Charlie Health, I was extremely depressed, suicidal, and controlled by my anxiety and PTSD. I was looking for a lifeline to keep me afloat in this storm when my therapist suggested Charlie Health. I loved that it provided structure and support while allowing me to remain in the comfort of my own home. The strategies and the things I learned about myself will help me for years to come. I'm exiting the program stronger, happier, more determined, and excited for what is to come. Thank you, Charlie Health!

“I started to see a change in the way I think and the way I feel about myself.”
When I first started Charlie Health, I was at an all-time low. I didn’t love myself, and I didn’t see the point in living after being treated like nothing by my ex-girlfriend. After giving Charlie Health’s groups a try, I started to see a change in the way I think and the way I feel about myself. If it wasn’t for taking that risk and participating, I don’t know where I would be now.

“They got me into orientation and group sessions within 2 days of my initial contact with them.”
I came into Charlie Health on the rebound of another major breakdown in my mental health because of a variety of difficulties in my life. After 6 months of roadblock after roadblock trying to get into an outpatient program, I finally found Charlie Health, and they got me into orientation and group sessions within 2 days of my initial contact with them, which was bewildering after 6 months of struggle! I was initially assigned to a trauma-focused group, which was a wonderful experience, but for my own goals in the program, I chose to switch to the skills-focused group. I loved both of the groups I was in, and we all formed a bond and a small community pretty immediately. The support and companionship I received from my group over the weeks was invaluable. That, paired with the wonderful individual therapist I've had and a psychiatrist who was very supportive of and focused on my goals, made this program a WONDERFUL experience for me. Everyone in my life has told me how much brighter and more present I seem now, and I also feel that positivity about myself!
