What is IOP?
Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.
The goal of IOP is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.
Curated groups
By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.
Individual therapy
One-on-one connections are critical to the IOP model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.
Family therapy
The #1 predictor of success in IOP is family involvement. Our virtual intensive outpatient program’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.
Who is IOP for?
People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis
IOP is designed for individuals who need more treatment and support than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

What our clients say
“Being in my own space while talking about difficult things added to the safety.”
I was unsure about going into something virtual, but it was so helpful! I think that being in my own space while talking about difficult things added to the safety I felt. The facilitators/staff really truly care about the well-being of group members and are so supportive.

“I no longer feel that deep sense of emptiness and hopelessness.”
I didn't want to die, but I didn't know how to keep living anymore and I couldn't see a way out. How can I possibly describe what it means to no longer be stuck there? I no longer feel that deep sense of emptiness and hopelessness that that I have carried for 20 years? I wish I could sum up this experience in a small blurb, but some things can only be felt. Trust the process. Clichés exist for a reason.

“Every single person I interacted with in the Charlie Health ecosystem was kind, understanding, and helpful.”
Charlie Health was incredibly helpful for me at a time when I was struggling so much with my mental health. The groups were amazing, and the support and validation from my fellow group members were so helpful and made me feel like I was not alone. The group facilitators were very helpful and compassionate, making learning about coping skills enjoyable. My primary therapist was amazing as well. He was very compassionate and understanding with everything I shared with him. Every single person I interacted with in the Charlie Health ecosystem was kind, understanding, and helpful. I would recommend Charlie Health to anyone.
