What is IOP?
Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.
The goal of IOP is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.
Curated groups
By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.
Individual therapy
One-on-one connections are critical to the IOP model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.
Family therapy
The #1 predictor of success in IOP is family involvement. Our virtual intensive outpatient program’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.
Who is IOP for?
People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis
IOP is designed for individuals who need more treatment and support than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

What our clients say
“Groups taught me incredible concepts and coping skills.”
Charlie Health was an amazing program to bridge my time in mental health inpatient care to my day-to-day life. I had the most thoughtful individual therapist which truly gave me hope in the mental health system. The process and alternative therapy groups taught me incredible concepts and coping skills. The care team is extremely responsive, which never made me feel alone. I am so grateful for this program and would recommend to any young adult who is looking to transform their mental health journey.

“I made so many friends and memories along the way.”
Prior to Charlie Health, I had been hospitalized twice and had even been in an in-person IOP program. Even after the second hospitalization, I truly did not know if I would ever get my life back together. However, with the help of Charlie Health, I not only met my mental health goals, but I made so many friends and memories along the way. Memories that will last a lifetime. And that's the beauty of Charlie Health. Everyone here is so kind, caring, and only wants your best interest. It's one of the best experiences I've ever had. If you're ever struggling with mental health, Charlie Health is the best place to go.

“I can safely say Charlie Health has drastically improved my life.”
Midway through my sister's time at Charlie Health, I also decided to join for my substance use. Looking at the progress I've made, the skills I've learned in group therapy, and the fun I've had with my family in family therapy, I can safely say Charlie Health has drastically improved my life. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who may be dealing with neurodivergence, family issues, self-image issues, depression, anxiety, and many more problems that therapy may be able to solve and subdue.
