What is IOP?
Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.
The goal of IOP is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.
Curated groups
By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.
Individual therapy
One-on-one connections are critical to the IOP model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.
Family therapy
The #1 predictor of success in IOP is family involvement. Our virtual intensive outpatient program’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.
Who is IOP for?
People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis
IOP is designed for individuals who need more treatment andsupport than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

What our clients say
“Charlie Health made me feel like I wasn't alone.”
I have struggled with more in my life than I think anyone ever should, and sometimes my story feels like a bad supervillain's backstory, as opposed to mine. I have kept so many things hidden from people in my life for my whole life, and almost no one knows everything about me and my past. But the people at Charlie Health made me feel like I wasn't alone. Both the staff and the other group members made me feel like I wasn't an alien--I felt like I was human with them. This program is amazing, and we need to have more programs for mental health like this one. Amazing place, with amazing people all around.

“My mental health has changed for the better.”
I went from having panic attacks several times a week without any coping skills to having panic attacks once a week or less with strategies to use. Before Charlie Health, no one was able to help me find any solutions to my extreme panic attacks. My mental health has changed for the better because of the services at Charlie Health.

“I feel much lighter than I did before.”
My mental health has been a weight for a while. At first, it felt like no one took me seriously. Sometimes it still does, but since seeking treatment, I feel much lighter than I did before. Charlie Health has helped me find wonderful friends and provided me with kind, wise people who listen to my problems and provide great feedback and advice. I enjoyed my time getting to know fellow group members and I feel a lot happier.
