Are you looking for care in other areas?
Charlie Health's virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP) is also available in other locations.
What is IOP?
Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.
The goal of IOP is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.
Curated groups
By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.
Individual therapy
One-on-one connections are critical to the IOP model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.
Family therapy
The #1 predictor of success in IOP is family involvement. Our virtual intensive outpatient program’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.
Who is IOP for?
People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis
IOP is designed for individuals who need more treatment and support than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

What our clients say
“I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was hopeful it would help. And help it did.”
I knew that I needed therapy, but I didn't really know where to start. When my doctor referred me to Charlie Health, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was hopeful it would help. And help it did! While its focus isn't on any specialty and more on generally coping with life and relationships, I needed that groundwork to help me heal further. I feel much more balanced and grounded than before being part of CH. It may seem like a lot to do each week (and sometimes it is), but having that kind of atmosphere and routine for this program is so important and worth it. Everyone is so nice and helpful, and you'll never feel alone when you join your therapy group, even if you feel that way everywhere else.

“I discovered a lot about myself.”
I was hesitant about a virtual program at first, but I ended up connecting with my group members a lot more than I expected. My group facilitators were fantastic as well, and this program helped me find a little bit more stability in my life. I discovered a lot about myself and my mental health diagnoses.

“I loved my therapist and group facilitators.”
Mental health can be really dangerous when you are so deep-rooted in fear. Having this consistent support and reminders of my own worth has been so beneficial. I made beautiful art and made some of my closest friends in Charlie Health. I loved my therapist and group facilitators. They all knew how to listen and see things from another perspective. I am very grateful for that open-mindedness and overall safe place to feel my feelings.
