What is IOP?
Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.
The goal of IOP is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.
Curated groups
By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.
Individual therapy
One-on-one connections are critical to the IOP model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.
Family therapy
The #1 predictor of success in IOP is family involvement. Our virtual intensive outpatient program’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.
Who is IOP for?
People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis
IOP is designed for individuals who need more treatment and support than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

What our clients say
“I am confident in my ability to tackle life.”
When I started Charlie Health, I was really struggling. The people here made me feel like I wasn't alone. They helped me ask for help when it got too hard and were here to pick me up when I was down. The people here are wonderful human beings who truly care about the work that they are doing. As I'm leaving Charlie Health, I am confident in my ability to tackle life. I believe that I have a purpose and a long life ahead of me.

“After my first group session, I left smiling.”
When I got to Charlie Health, I was in a place where I did not want to accept any more help. I was fresh out of the hospital and had seen my fair share of therapists and psychiatrists. I was put in Charlie Health by hospital staff because it was the one thing I was sort of open to. After my first group session, I left smiling. That was the first time I showed a genuine smile in 7 months. It wasn't overnight or in one Zoom meeting that I felt better, but over the weeks in Charlie Health, I connected and shared with people in ways I had been very closed off to just weeks before. I loved my time here, and I looked forward to group every day. Even if I didn't share, I still enjoyed it. I love Charlie Health and thank them for getting me out of place I never thought I could.

“I connected with people and facilitators far more than I could have ever imagined.”
Charlie Health was a program I joined for a temporary experience while trying to find a permanent therapist. My expectations were low, and I went in with a clear idea of how I would feel about this experience. I had a wonderful time, and I am genuinely going to miss coming to groups in this program. I connected with people and facilitators far more than I could have ever imagined.
