What is IOP?
Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.
The goal of IOP is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.
Curated groups
By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.
Individual therapy
One-on-one connections are critical to the IOP model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.
Family therapy
The #1 predictor of success in IOP is family involvement. Our virtual intensive outpatient program’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.
Who is IOP for?
People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis
IOP is designed for individuals who need more treatment and support than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

In their words
What our clients say
“My mental health has changed for the better.”
I went from having panic attacks several times a week without any coping skills to having panic attacks once a week or less with strategies to use. Before Charlie Health, no one was able to help me find any solutions to my extreme panic attacks. My mental health has changed for the better because of the services at Charlie Health.

“I am extremely grateful I was able to do this program and I feel it has been incredibly beneficial to my progress.”
I went into Charlie Health struggling with self-harm, severe chronic suicidal ideation, and unsure of my gender identity. Through the program and support in groups, I have been clean from self-harm, seen a decrease in suicidal ideation, and realized my gender identity with a lot of support. I am extremely grateful I was able to do this program and I feel it has been incredibly beneficial to my progress in getting better.

“Charlie Health succeeded where other programs failed me.”
Charlie Health provided me with an invaluable sense of safety and community as an LGBT+ person. It is so hard for people to seek mental health treatment to begin with and being a part of marginalized communities can make that even more difficult. Charlie Health succeeded where other programs failed me in making me feel safe and secure in my identity, and with connecting me with other people who shared my identities and struggles and could really empathize and provide helpful feedback.
