What is IOP?
Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.
The goal of IOP is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.
Curated groups
By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.
Individual therapy
One-on-one connections are critical to the IOP model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.
Family therapy
The #1 predictor of success in IOP is family involvement. Our virtual intensive outpatient program’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.
Who is IOP for?
People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis
IOP is designed for individuals who need more treatment and support than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

What our clients say
“I am so happy I gave it a chance.”
I had reached a point in my life where something had to give. I was either going to succumb to my trauma and depression or need to go to an inpatient facility. I found Charlie Health through the military and was scared at first and wasn’t sure it would help, but I am so happy I gave it a chance. My husband and immediate family have noticed a significant difference in my countenance and behaviors. I am lighter and happier. I can be faced with stress and not be overwhelmed by it. I now have a clean and healthy slate to begin handling my trauma. I will recommend the CBT groups to everyone. My family will forever be changed by the generational traumas I have worked on breaking. My children will get to have a whole mother who is not weighed down by her grief, depression, or anxiety. My husband now has a partner who can communicate, and we will continue to cultivate a healthy and loving friendship and marriage.

“I know now that I can love myself.”
Before I was in Charlie Health, I struggled with really bad anxiety and on-and-off depression. But throughout treatment, sharing with other people my age in group made me realize a lot. I know now that I can love myself even if others don’t and that I don’t have to be scared of everything. I really appreciate everyone who has helped me here at Charlie Health.

“Charlie Health has really made a difference in my life for the better.”
I joined Charlie Health because I was in a really bad depressive episode, but Charlie Health gave me structure and safe people to be around. It helped me to open up and try new things outside of therapy and encouraged me to do things outside of therapy to help me get out of my depressive episode. Charlie Health has really made a difference in my life for the better. I'm now able to confidently say that I am no longer suicidal and I have hope for my future and know where to go if I ever do need help again. Getting help with mental health is hard but you are so worth putting in the work to have a stable mind.
