What is IOP?
Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.
The goal of IOP is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.
Curated groups
By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.
Individual therapy
One-on-one connections are critical to the IOP model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.
Family therapy
The #1 predictor of success in IOP is family involvement. Our virtual intensive outpatient program’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.
Who is IOP for?
People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis
IOP is designed for individuals who need more treatment and support than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

What our clients say
“I met so many wonderful people.”
Charlie Health helped me through a difficult period in my life. The speed with which they were able to get me through intake and into treatment was impressive and really helpful during a time of crisis. The resources were great. The facilitators are fantastic, and the educational pieces were helpful. Doing art therapy was really helpful for me and something I will take into my daily life after Charlie Health. Getting to know other women with very similar backgrounds to me was amazing and so healing. I met so many wonderful people. The services are impressive, and I'm really glad I got to be here. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who's in a dark place.

“Charlie Health is the primary reason I have been able to make positive changes in my life.”
I came into Charlie Health very sick and concerned with my future. After only a week, I was already using new skills I had learned, and connecting with my group members in healthy ways. I have never felt more supported than when I was in my group setting. Having an individual therapist on top of group also helped with my extra needs that I was unable to cover in group. Unlike some therapy, I am able to perform different skills to regulate my mental health. I am confident that Charlie Health is the primary reason I have been able to make positive changes in my life and continue living every day to its fullest.

“I've found a part of myself again, a spark of joy I haven't seen in myself in years.”
When I started with Charlie Health, I was in a really dark place. I was actively re-experiencing my trauma through flashbacks and deeply depressed. Charlie Health helped me realize what was happening, how to handle those flashbacks in the moment and the future, and also helped me learn what it means to be worthy. I feel like I've found a part of myself again, a spark of joy I haven't seen in myself in years. I've learned a lot of skills that I know will be in my toolbox for a long time. The bonds that I've made with my group and even the group facilitators has been so healing and validating.
