What is IOP?
Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.
The goal of IOP is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.
Curated groups
By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.
Individual therapy
One-on-one connections are critical to the IOP model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.
Family therapy
The #1 predictor of success in IOP is family involvement. Our virtual intensive outpatient program’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.
Who is IOP for?
People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis
IOP is designed for individuals who need more treatment and support than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

What our clients say
“Charlie Health gave me the space I needed to develop coping skills that I can use and apply in everyday situations.”
Four months ago, I was in the darkest place that I've ever been in. I was struggling with my job, and the constant stress was causing me to experience the worst decline in my mental health that I've ever had. It was bad enough that I needed to go to the hospital for a few days. Since being discharged, I left my job as a hospital nurse, I started intensive outpatient therapy, and I finally made time to take care of myself. Charlie Health gave me the space I needed to develop coping skills that I can use and apply in everyday situations. I was able to process aloud with my individual therapist and with others who are going through similar experiences. Now, I have a job that I finally feel will provide me with the balance that I was missing in my previous job.

“I have learned to love myself and give myself grace.”
When I first started Charlie Health, I suffered from severe depression, anxiety, alcohol abuse, and social anxiety. Charlie Health taught me great things to keep me on track in my recovery journey. I now have the tools and skills to make positive changes in my life! I have learned to love myself and give myself grace!! Also, the group sessions helped tremendously in dealing with my social anxiety. I now feel more comfortable communicating with others without substances! Thank you all for everything you do.

“It helped because I didn't feel so alone in group.”
I was having really bad suicidal ideation before I got to Charlie Health and then I attempted suicide and then my school offered Charlie Health to me and I joined. I started in group sessions first and then I got in individual therapy and then I got into family therapy. It helped because I didn't feel so alone in group and I got to talk to them about what was going on in my school life and my home life. And then I got to talk to my individual therapist about the things that happened and we talked through it. Then I went to family therapy and built a relationship with my dad and I built a better relationship with my mom and sister.
