What is IOP?

Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.

The goal of IOP is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.

Curated groups

By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.

Individual therapy

One-on-one connections are critical to the IOP model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.

Family therapy

The #1 predictor of success in IOP is family involvement. Our virtual intensive outpatient program’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.

Who is IOP for?

People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis

IOP is designed for individuals who need more treatment and support than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

People in crisis are struggling to find the mental health treatment they need. At Charlie Health, we’re creating serious, effective, and accessible solutions.

In their words

What our clients say

“Going to group and individual sessions provided consistency and care when I desperately needed it.”

When I started going to group sessions at Charlie Health, I didn't think anything was going to change. I have always struggled with mental health and figured that was just how my life was going to go. However, I am happy to say that it has changed my life for the better. Going to group and individual sessions provided consistency and care when I desperately needed it. I appreciate everything I have learned while attending this program. It showed me that committing to yourself is worth it. We can find the time for ourselves if we look for it. We deserve to heal, and we do heal. Charlie Health is a major supporter and catalyst for healing. I appreciate the time I have had, all my group mates, and every facilitator I have met.

“You guys really made going to therapy easy for me.”

Charlie Health has been wonderful! You guys really made going to therapy easy for me. I needed that and so do many others! It was refreshing to find such ease and lack of barriers to receive care! And It is so nice to know that post-treatment, I can attend the alumni groups. This is wonderful work! You all are angles! Thank you to everyone at Charlie Health and those I got the opportunity to be in group with and befriend! Much peace and love to you all and to all whom are beginning this journey! I wish you all my best!:)

Trust the process. It is long, and sometimes there may be setbacks, but when you start to see your progress, you will be so happy with yourself. Your friends and family will see your progress before you do, and that's okay.
