Charlie Health is designed for moderate- to high-risk individuals who need more than weekly outpatient therapy but don’t require inpatient or residential care. Low-acuity cases — such as mild anxiety or depression with no prior treatment history — are generally not a fit. If you’re unsure whether Charlie Health is the right level of care, our Admissions Team or your local Charlie Health contact can help confirm.

How a referral works
You handle the referral.
We handle everything else.
After you refer someone, they’re in our care. We help coordinate all required and court-mandated documentation throughout treatment.
-
Referral
Submit a referral through our secure online form or by calling our Admissions Team. For court-involved cases, a release of information (ROI) must be completed before or at admission in order for us to share progress updates.
-
Treatment
Receive weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly status updates based on preferred frequency for court-mandated cases. Request additional progress updates at any time with appropriate consent.
-
Discharge
Receive a discharge summary, aftercare plan, and required closing documentation at treatment completion — including verification of full program completion for court-required SUD programs.
