An Intensive Outpatient Program is a level of mental health or addiction treatment that sits between weekly outpatient therapy and inpatient hospitalization. It’s designed for people who need more support than weekly therapy can provide, but who are stable enough to live at home and maintain daily responsibilities during treatment. At Charlie Health, clients receive 10+ hours of personalized care each week for 6–12 weeks, delivered virtually by a single coordinated treatment team and tailored to their individual needs.

How a referral works
You handle the referral.
We handle everything else.
As soon as you refer someone, they’re immediately in our care. Our team will reach out to the student or their caregiver to begin the process.
-
Referral
Submit a referral through our secure online form or by calling our Admissions Team. Prior caregiver consent is recommended for students under 18, but our team can reach out directly either way.
-
Treatment
Once the student and family sign a release, we can keep you posted on their progress. Without one, we’ll stay in close contact with their family and care team, as needed.
-
Discharge
As the student transitions back to everyday life, we’ll help you support them — with guidance on warning signs and what to expect in the weeks after treatment.
31,000+ facilities and organizations have referred someone to Charlie Health.
