What is IOP?
Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.
The goal of IOP is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.
Curated groups
By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.
Individual therapy
One-on-one connections are critical to the IOP model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.
Family therapy
The #1 predictor of success in IOP is family involvement. Our virtual intensive outpatient program’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.
Who is IOP for?
People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis
IOP is designed for individuals who need more treatment and support than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

What our clients say
“I finally feel like I can breathe.”
I have been struggling with PTSD and anxiety my whole life. I have been working so hard to better myself and I finally feel like I can breathe. I had undiagnosed autism when I got here, and the diagnosis literally changed my life for the better because so many things were answered and my life makes sense thanks to CH.

“I saw improvements every week.”
Charlie Health was an incredible experience for me. Going into the program, I was in an unbelievably dark place and was worried about my ability to not only move forward in life but exist altogether. As the program progressed, I saw improvements every week. My group became my family and support system and I'm so grateful I was able to meet and get to know them over the 12 weeks I spent in the program. They proved that we are indeed not alone in the struggles we face in life and with mental health and that knowledge will always extend to every aspect of my life now. The facilitators were amazing, my psychiatrist and individual therapist were able to guide me in such an understanding and gentle manner. Charlie Health truly saved my life in a big way, and I finally feel confident and able to take the step out of my mama bird's nest and realize the untapped potential that has existed in me all along. Thank you all, so much. I don't know where I'd be without you.

“I started to open up and realized that I wasn’t alone.”
Right before I came to Charlie Health, I was depressed and had just gotten out of the mental hospital. When I joined Charlie Health, I was upset because I was being forced to do this therapy, so I didn’t really participate. After a few days, I realized that I had to spend so much time here anyway, so I might as well just do it and get something out of it. So I started to open up and realized that I wasn’t alone. I eventually learned the things I needed to learn and got lots of positive and helpful feedback from group members and group facilitators. I met lots of people who could relate to me, and people that I could relate to, which really did help me on my journey. I met great group facilitators who helped me get through this process and made it more enjoyable to be here!
